Urologists performing microsurgical varicocelectomies routinely use VTI’s 20 MHz Microvascular Doppler System to identify and preserve the testicular artery while allowing veins to be safely tied off during the varicocele repair. Our 20 MHz Microvascular System combines a miniature Doppler probe tip with a high operating frequency, allowing the system to emit a tightly focused signal with a shallow depth of signal penetration. This level of precision is essential for the microsurgeon performing varicocele repairs.
VTI’s sterile, single patient use Doppler probes provide a high level of reliability while optimizing patient safety. We offer multiple configurations of our 20 MHz hand-held probes, which are ideal for open microsurgical varicocelectomy, as well as our flexible drop-in Doppler probe, which is employed in laparoscopic varicocele repair.

Clinical Studies Demonstrate:
– Use of intraoperative Doppler in microscopic subinguinal varicocelectomy shortens operative time, increases the number of spermatic arteries spared and spermatic veins ligated, and increases sperm motility after surgery, as compared to microscopic subinguinal varicocelectomy without Doppler assistance.1,2
